A LYRICAL RIOT SPICED WITH SURPRISES

The Soft Revolution of Goth Punk Poetry was formed in 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The group mixes spoken word poetry, music and performance. The members are Louise Halvardsson, Henke Mimerson and Nadja Itäsaari.

They have performed at Gothenburg Fringe Festival several times and also at other festivals like Volmen in Mölndal and 13festivalen at Konstepidemin in Gothenburg. Their shows are always unique and often engage the audience to participate in some way or another.

They’ve been compared to the Gothenburg icon Freddie Wadling and often play with the aesthetics of the punk and goth movement.

The themes they explore are life, death and the absurdness of everyday life. They respons to what’s going on in their own personal lives as well to what is happening in the world around them.
